We are providing a free firmware upgrade (Version 1.5.0) for the DopeScope 2.0. Installation is easy and does not require specialized hardware or software. Use the links provided here to get started. Happy New Year and Happy Updating!
What’s in the Update?
This update provides multiple bug fixes and adds a new capability:
Probe Scan
As of version 1.5, your DopeScope 2.0 device will be able to detect and display Wi-Fi Probes from nearby devices. The default Probe Scanning screen shows a survey very similar to the BLE scan. You will be able to see any Wi-Fi devices that probe for a network connection. The RSSI and MAC address of the device are shown. The Probe details page shows the RSSI, MAC address, manufacturer (if in the database), desired SSID, and destination mask of the selected device.
Don’t Have a DopeScope?
The DopeScope 2.0 is a directional Wi-Fi Sniffing device that fits in the palm of your hand! It is built on a powerful ESP32 wireless SoC. This SoC features a dual-core CPU, 520 KiB SRAM, 4MB of program memory, 802.11bg and Bluetooth 4.2 BR/EDR and BLE. We’ve attached an RGB IPS screen with a resolution of 160x80 with a lens that allows for easy handheld Wi-Fi hunting.
