Firmware Updates

Thank you for purchasing a DopeScope 2.0!

To provide you with the best experience, please UPDATE YOUR DEVICE by following the 7 steps below to ensure you are running the latest firmware. The 1.5.2 update fixes issues with Wi-Fi scanning sensitivity.

Step 1: Save the binary file to your computer.

Step 2: Navigate to https://espressif.github.io/esptool-js/ from a Chrome browser window.

Step 3: Select 115200 for both baud rates and click “Connect” under “Program”.

Step 4: In the pop up window, select the entry most closely matching the highlighted one below (there will be small variations).

If you do not see any entries that start with CP2104 you may need to install the drivers - they are available at https://www.silabs.com/develo per-tools/usb-to-uart-bridge-vc p-drivers?tab=downloads

Step 5: Set the flash address to 0. Click on “Choose File” and select the binary file saved in step 1.

Step 6: Click “Program”. Programming will begin. Programming will take about 2 minutes.

Step 7: When “Leaving…” is displayed in the console, disconnect and power cycle the DopeScope.
