Gene Bransfield, Founder + CEO

Gene Bransfield is the Founder and CEO of WarCollar Industries, a Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Business. With over 20 years of professional experience in cybersecurity and systems engineering, he began his career in the Air Force at age 19 and has been serving the country ever since as a member of the military or as a government contractor. He has been heavily involved with both offensive and defensive aspects of cybersecurity for both commercial and federal government customers.

Mr. Bransfield began WarCollar Industries (named after a presentation he gave at the DEF CON Hacker Conference) in 2015 after his former company was acquired. He founded WarCollar to create a company that provided the customer the best available cybersecurity talent while simultaneously providing the best possible culture and benefits. He is an active participant in local cybersecurity groups and has presented at multiple hacker conventions.

A native of Philadelphia, PA, Mr. Bransfield currently resides in Northern Virginia and holds a Master’s Degree in Information Security and Assurance from George Mason University. In addition, he maintains several industry certifications from Cisco, Microsoft, and SANS Institute, and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

Christine MacInnes, Executive Vice President

Christine MacInnes is WarCollar Industries’ Executive Vice President overseeing all aspects of the business with an emphasis on contracts, compliance and growth. She joined the company in 2015 bringing with her over 20 years of experience with a variety of agencies throughout the Department of Defense and intelligence community.

Mrs. MacInnes has a BA in psychology and a certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. Originally from California, she has moved throughout the United States, and now calls Montana home. She and her husband have a small hobby farm where they raise goats and chickens and rescue dogs.

Tighe Smith, Director of Operations

Tighe Smith is an Air Force veteran who began his career at the age of 19 as a Russian Linguist. Since then, he has been serving his country as a defense contractor. Originally from the west coast, he now calls Virginia his home and has been here since 2009.

Mr. Smith received his MBA from Webster University after leaving the Air Force and has been putting that to good use for WarCollar Industries. He was eager to join the organization because of the company’s great culture and feeling of home. At WarCollar, “we are more than a number; we are individuals who make up a great team. “
